These terms are an agreement between you and Hexp Studios ("we", "us", "our") covering your use of the Reframed mobile app and this website (together, "Reframed"). By downloading or using Reframed you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Reframed.
Reframed is a self-help tool based on techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Content in the app, including anything generated by AI features, is general information only.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. Reframed is not monitored and cannot respond to emergencies.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Reframed with the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.
Some features require a paid plan ("Pro"). Plans, prices and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen in the app before you buy. All payments are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never receive your payment details.
Subscriptions. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
Free trials. If a subscription includes a free trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. A free trial is available once per Apple ID.
Lifetime purchase. A lifetime purchase is a single payment that unlocks Pro features for as long as Reframed remains available on the App Store. It does not renew and does not include a free trial. It is tied to the Apple ID that bought it and can be restored on your other devices from the app's settings. Buying a lifetime purchase does not cancel an existing subscription or trial: cancel that separately in your App Store account settings to avoid being charged for it.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Price changes. We may change prices for new purchases at any time. If the price of a subscription you already hold changes, Apple will notify you beforehand and, where required, ask for your consent.
Some features, including pattern analysis, reframe suggestions and progress recaps, send the text you enter to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. Treat it as a prompt for your own thinking, not as advice, and do not rely on it for decisions about your health or safety.
AI features are subject to a fair use limit of 20 AI requests per device per day, which resets at midnight in your local time zone. A single reframed thought typically uses two requests, so the limit is approximately 10 reframed thoughts per day. The app tells you when you are close to the limit and when you have reached it.
This limit applies to everyone, including free trials, subscriptions and lifetime purchases. It exists because each AI request carries a per-request cost paid to the AI provider, and it lets Reframed offer a one-time price rather than a metered one. Features that do not use AI, including logging thoughts, recording evidence, tracking beliefs and viewing your history, are not limited.
The limit may change. If it is reduced in a way that materially affects people who have already paid, notice will be given in the app before the change takes effect. We may suspend or restrict access to AI features for anyone who attempts to circumvent this limit, including by automating requests, tampering with the app, or using multiple devices or Apple IDs to exceed it.
What you write in Reframed belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it. How it is stored and what leaves your device is described in our Privacy Policy. Your entries are stored on your device, so you are responsible for keeping your own backups: uninstalling the app or losing your device may permanently delete them.

Reframed, including its design, text, illustrations and code, is owned by Hexp Studios and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.
We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering Reframed altogether. We will try to give reasonable notice in the app of any change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes.
Reframed is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or any loss arising from reliance on content in the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Reframed in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.
These terms are between you and Hexp Studios, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Reframed or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to it, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. If Reframed fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You can stop using Reframed at any time by deleting the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription: do that in your App Store account settings. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the app. Continuing to use Reframed after a change means you accept the updated terms.
